Tiger hill

  • It is 11 km from the town of Darjeeling

  • On a clear day, Kurseong is visible to the south and in the distance, along with Teesta River, Mahanada River, Balason River and Mechi River meandering down to the south

Ghoom Monastery is the popular name of Yiga Choeling Monastery located at Ghum at an elevation of 8,000 feet,

  • It contains images of Buddha’s disciples, Chenrezi and Chongapa ,

Batasia Loop(TOY TRAIN)

  • It's located on Hill Cart Road, takes 20 minutes from Darjeeling town.
  • There is no better place to get a 360 degree view of Darjeeling's landscape including the hill town and the snow covered peaks of the Eastern Himalayas
  • And all this from the middle of a lovely flowering garden around which the toy train track is laid. 
  • Batasia means airy space, There are seating areas as well to enjoy the views.
  • The entire area along with the gardens and an approach bridge that leads to the garden is about 50,000 square feet.

  • The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) is one of the premier mountaineering institutes in the world,

Pnz Zoological Park

  • Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (also called the Darjeeling Zoo) is a 67.56- acre (27.3 ha) zoo in the town of Darjeeling
  • It specializes in breeding animals adapted to alpine conditions, and has successful captive breeding programs for the snow leopard, the critically endangered Himalayan wolf and the red panda

Tibetean Refuge Centre

  • The place initially provided emergency relief to Tibetan refugees who had come through a hazardous trek over the Himalayas into India.
  • The Hill-side had a special significance for Tibetans, because of the fact that Thirteenth Dalai Lama had spent his exile in India from 1910 to 1912 following the Chinese invasion of Tibet at that time.
  • It is located at hillside Lebong in Darjeeling District of West Bengal. 
  • The altitude is approximately 2,143 m (7,031 ft) above sea level..
  • The temperature variation is from 17°-1.5 °C, along with an annual 320 cm rainfall.

Tea Garden

  • It is available in black, green, white and oolong.
  • When properly brewed, it yields a thin-bodied, light-coloured infusion with a floral aroma.
  • The flavour can include a tinge of astringenttannic characteristics and a musky spiciness sometimes described as "muscatel".

Ava Art Gallery

  • It is a bright purple and yellow colored two storied building on the Hill Cart Road towards Darjeeling town center.
  • Ava Art Gallery was jointly established in 1965 by Late Ava Devi who was known as a genius of embroidery art, and Bhopal Rao Sett.

Japanese Temple

  • This is a beautiful Japanese temple situated at a distance of 10 minutes distance from the Darjeeling town center.
  • The temple is also known as the Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Temple.
