curry & rice with country chicken which is a rarity these days.
This is the largest waterfall in Sikkim. It is located 15 km away from
Pelling.
Water splashes out from granite rocks in plumes of white in

Bhim Nala Waterfalls
The Bhim Nala waterfalls ia probably so called because of its size! Bhima, one of
the Pandavas in the 'Mahabharata', symbolises huge size and strength. So does
this waterfall in rainy season.
It might look a very small waterfall in the picture owing to the frozen source of
water at the time it was shot, however during the monsoons it is in full flourish
and offer a great view.
The sound of the huge volume of water dropping can heard from far off.
Each has a different beauty attached to it. Bhima nala is situated near
Lachung, on the road to Lachung from Chungthang.
A small view point just to the opposite offers a beautiful view of the falls.

River Lachung Chu
The river has its source in a lake, deep in the Himalayas near the Indo-China
border.
The ragged reaches of the mountain make the place almost inaccessible.
From here, the river flows down in a south-westerly direction and joins with
another unknown river at a place just above Lachung village.
The tributary river is also a slender one with little water in the winter.
The river continues its course downwards through the Lachung valley till it
meets River Lachen near Chungthang.
